John Taylerson MBA, FCIM Chartered Marketer is an experienced manager in Food, Drink and Agriculture, in Research, Development, Innovation, Marketing and Operations. He started his career in agriculture graduating from agricultural college to work at the Milk Marketing Board initially working with milk producers in Wales to improve milk quality, worked in the technical division managing data capture and measurement systems before moving to the commercial directorate working on milk pricing and marketing. Moving to Waterford Foods plc (now Glanbia) managing the marketing department in Manchester working on added-value milks. Then moved to Tetra Pak UK as Market Development Manager Dairy, introducing new product development setting up a new R&D facility at Reaseheath in conjunction with industry partners. Further moves included Head of Sales and Marketing for a large farmer-owned dairy business, Head of Marketing at Milk Development Council and Marketing Director MilkLink.
As a consultant including working on a DEFRA project on barriers to innovation in the dairy Industry and HMRC as an expert witness on a sports drink case.
Starting his own food and drink business launching a start-up that put a new product on-shelf in John Lewis/Waitrose and other high street retailers. Rescued and sold the DairyStix UHT business.
